The B2156 is allocated to the eastern arm of the relief road around Walderslade in Chatham.
The road starts on a roundabout with Capstone Road and continues as North Dane Way where it ends in the middle of nowhere at the junction with Albemarle Road, which leads into the suburbs.
The road was never completed, and so it was consequently shown as downgraded on many maps. Medway Council's road lists [1] still identify North Dane Way as the B2156, although no signs display any number. The line of the completed B2156 to the east is clearly visible; this would possibly have ended on the A2045, a road which was also not completed.
