The B2157 runs north of the Sussex town of Crowborough. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number in the early 1920s.
The road starts on the B2100 in the Poundfield area of town and heads northwards along the leafy, semi-residential Green Lane. On the northern edge of town a mini-roundabout is reached which marks the original northern end of the B2157 on the A26. That road now cuts off this corner and the B2157 has taken over its route in both directions. Left at the mini-roundabout leads to a T-junction on the present A26 whilst right leads to a full-size roundabout on the same road.
