The B2164 was a short B-road near Ashford. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number south of the A28 in the mid-1920s and was then quickly extended north.
The road started on the A251 in Kennington and ran past the old church down to the A28. This part of the route is now unclassified and covered with speed humps. There was then a brief multiplex with the A28, before a better-quality road crossed the railway, ran past the Campbell soup factory and William Harvey Hospital, to finish near where junction 10 of the M20 is now. This latter section is now the A2070.
