The B2165 is a short, rural B-road connecting the villages of Cripps Corner and Beckley in east Sussex. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number in the mid-1920s.
The road starts at a lop-sided triangle junction with the B2244 below Cripps Corner. A few yards further up, the road is crossed by the B2089 via a crossroads, before we head up Northwards past farm shops to Staplecross. There, it turns sharply right at the junction with the road to Bodiam (maximum speed of 15mph advised), and goes generally Eastwards via various bends to Horns Cross, where it meets the A28; this was the original eastern end of the B2165 but it was quickly extended eastwards.
Following a short multiplex the B2165 continues on. Narrowing to such an extent that two normal sized cars can hardly pass at speed, it runs North East and widens to terminate just past Clayhill, at a triangle junction with the B2088.
