The B2249 is a recently created B-road in Royal Tunbridge Wells, consisting of a short section of former A264.
The road starts on the edge of Calverley Park on the A264 Calverley Road and heads east along Calverley Park Gardens, which is lined with houses hidden behind high hedges. There is an on-road cycle path on each side of the road, which could explain why the road was downgraded.
After a few curves a T-junction is met, where the B2249 ends back on the A264, which has taken a slightly longer route to the south.
