The B3205 is a shortish road in the Dartmouth area parallel to the A379.
Starting at a fork on the A379 to the north of Stoke Fleming this narrow road proceeds via Warfleet Road to Dartmouth Lower Ferry. A branch with the same number goes from this point through the town centre to meet the A379 again at a gyratory just before reaching the Dartmouth Higher Ferry.
The B3205 crosses the Lower Ferry to Kingswear, where it passes the station and then runs through a one-way system to leave town. It continues climbing to Hillhead where it joins the A379.
Until comparatively recently the B3205 cannoned off the A379 at Hillhead and continued into Brixham, where it ended on the A3022. In fact, in 1922 the Hillhead to Brixham section was all there was of the B3205; the remainder was the A379 mainline. The B3205 was quickly extended west to reach the Dartmouth Higher Ferry (but did not actually cross the river). Then after World War II the B3205 and A379 swapped routes on the left bank of the Dart, which also extended the B3205 over the river and to its present western terminus near Stoke Fleming.
