The B3237 connects the Devon coastal village of Clovelly with the outside world.
The road starts on a roundabout on the A39 at Clovelly Cross in Higher Clovelly. The roundabout is obviously fairly new, as can be seen from the quaint petrol station which is now bypassed.
The road heads north, descending slowly with views of the sea when the high hedges permit it. After just over a mile the drive to Clovelly Court is met; this continues ahead and the B3237 turns sharply right. The road bends to pass through a wood before the entrance to the Clovelly car park is met on the right. Signs state that all vehicles for Clovelly should use the car park and the road ahead is signed as a no through road (which it is).
The B3237 does continue beyond this point, albeit as an S1 road. Maps suggest it continues on another few hundred yards to the next road junction where it meets the South West Coast Path. However, if you are here then you either know what you are doing or you are lost. Signs are adamant that the road is not for the general public (although it is a public road) and there are no places to park or turn. However, turn left at the junction to reach the coast, turn right to reach the top of Clovelly's famous cobbled hill.
