The B3241 is confusingly described in the 1922 Road Lists as Plymouth (Paradise Road etc to North Road) - Laira.
Based on its description it started on the A3041 Fore Street in the Devonport area of Plymouth. It headed east along Paradise Road before zigzagging along Mill Bridge onto North Road. After running along the full length of this road there was a short multiplex north along the A386 North Hill before the B3241 regained its number and continued east along Alexandra Road to end on the A38 Plymouth Road in Laira.
The section east of the A386 had been renumbered A3081 seemingly in 1931-1932 as it appears on the 1931 One Inch Map, but as an A-class road on the 1932 Ten Mile Map; it has now been downgraded to Class II status once more, becoming the B3214. The western section of the B3241 retained that number for many years later but is now unclassified; North Road has now been severed with the upgrade of the A386 (former A387).
