The B4046 is an urban road in the eastern suburbs of Bristol.
The road starts on Kingswood High Street, or at least it used to. The first section of the road is still two-way, but has been taken over by the westbound diversion of the A420 away from the High Street. Before long, however, a mini roundabout is reached and the A420 heads properly west, while the B4046 continues south along Hanham Road. It is essentially a suburban road, passing through rows of monotonous houses, mirroring those of all the other streets round here. At the southern end, we pass onto Chapel Road and turn east to meet the A431. A spur (the original mainline of the B4046) along Lower Hanham Road is one-way, for traffic heading north on Hanham Road.
