The B4188 is a short cut between the A491 and A456 in north Worcestershire.
It starts at a signalised junction on the A491 in Bell End and heads west to the village of Belbroughton, where it must TOTSO left to continue through the centre of the village. The streets of the village are fairly narrow, combined with many parked cars; it makes the route difficult to navigate.
Beyond Belbroughton, the B4188 enters open countryside once more, eventually arriving at Hackman's Gate, where it crosses the A450 at a signalised junction. It continues into the village of Blakedown where it starts its final approach to meet the A456 at a T junction in the centre of the village.
