Middleton

The B4247 is a short B-road on the Gower Peninsula, connecting Rhossili to the rest of the road network. The road was unclassified in 1922 but gained its number in 1935.

The road starts by the entrance to the car park on the clifftop on the western side of Rhossili and heads east, initially following a narrow, winding route through the village. After passing the church the road widens and we continue east as an S2 road, with the sea clearly visible to the right. The road remains lined with houses as far as Middleton, where it becomes wholly rural although we seem to leave the coast behind.

The road continues east through Pitton and its related outlying settlements before a sharp left-hand bend is reached. It's not long before it enters Scurlage, where it ends at a T-junction on the A4118.
