This article is about the original B4372 in Shropshire.

The original route of the B4372 was a rural B-road in Shropshire, part of the direct route between Bridgnorth and Craven Arms.
The road started on the A458 at Morville and headed west from the valley of the Mor Brook into Corvedale. It met no other classified roads before ending on the B4368 near Shipton; that road originally started in Much Wenlock. The junction was to the northeast of the present road junction as the road through the centre of Shipton was at that time unclassified.
In 1935 the B4368 was rerouted east of Shipton. It took over the entire of the B4372, its original section becoming B4378.
