This article is about the present B4529 heading west of Leominster along the old A44.
For the original B4529 slightly further west, see B4529 (Shirl Heath).
For the original B4529 slightly further west, see B4529 (Shirl Heath).
The B4529 came into existence in the 1980s when the A44 west of Leominster was diverted to follow what had previously been the eastern end of the A4112.
The route starts on the A4110 at Lawton Cross. The old A44 west of here is now unclassified but the old priorities prevail and it is traffic on the A4110 that has to give way at the crossroads. We head east on fairly flat land across the fields. It's not long before the B4360 comes in from the left and then we carry on to reach the western edge of Leominster. Here the B4529 ends as the A44 comes in from the right and becomes the route ahead into the town centre.
An amended OpenStreetMap trace for this route awaits uploading to the SABRE Wiki.
