The B4554 was a loop off the A483 in the Carmarthenshire town of Ammanford. Owing to the road's short length its history is not fully known. The road had certainly gained its number by the late 1940s but had been declassified again by the mid-1980s.
Starting on the A483 Wind Street the B4554 headed northwestwards along the residential Tir-y-Dail Lane. After a bend to the right Station Road came in from the left and our road took on the remainder of that street name. It wasn't long before the end of the road was reached on the A483 College Street.
