Route outline (key)
B533 Newtownbutler - Wattlebridge
Wattlebridge Road, heading south-east

The B533 is a rural road in south County Fermanagh. It was originally numbered A34 but had gained its present number by the 1970s, when the A-road was rerouted in the direction of Clones.

The road starts at a mini-roundabout in the centre of Newtownbutler and heads south to cross a stream. We then climb past a church to leave town and continue across the fields on Wattlebridge Road. The road is largely straight as we run across the undulating terrain and pass close to a couple of loughs. Presently we cross the River Finn at Wattle Bridge before a couple of bends take us to journey's end at a T-junction on the A3. The county boundaries in this area are somewhat winding; we can turn in either direction and within a short distance that road will cross the border and become the N54.
