The DfT Card Index from c2002 simply lists the B5462 as 'Shrewsbury'. This doesn't help identify its route, but it could be presumed that the number was assigned to a short route in or near the town centre at some point in the past. The route should have been north of the A5, but as this was moved out of the centre at an early date, this doesn't help narrow it down. As yet, the route number has not been found on any maps, and no likely un-numbered B roads have B roads have been identified either.
