The B6056 is a short B-road in eastern Derbyshire.
The route starts on the B6054 on the western edge of Dronfield Woodhouse and heads east through town before going under the A61 and entering Dronfield proper. After going over the Midland Main Line the road reaches a set of traffic lights on the B6057 (pre-bypass A61). We turns right onto the B6057 and almost immediately take a (two-way, and unsigned) slip to the left to continue our eastward run.
Skirting the northern edge of Dronfield, the B6056 reaches a crossroads on the B6158. Here our road turns left and is again the junior partner in a multiplex, a little longer this time, before the B6158 turns left at the next mini-roundabout and the B6056 regains its number by continuing ahead. Presently the road enters open country.
The B6056 continues eastwards, climbing onto Bramley Moor, before descending again through Marsh Lane and into Eckington. It ends on the western side of the village at a set of traffic lights where the south-westbound B6052 TOTSOs left.
