The B6083 is a short road, running along the entire length of Newhall Road. It starts on the B6082 Carlisle Street East and heads south-east along Newhall Road. It passes under the railway line, then crosses the A6109, Brightside Lane. After going over the River Don at the Newhall Bridge it ends on the A6178 at the junction of Attercliffe Road and Attercliffe Common. The logical extension of the B6083 is the B6085 into Darnall; that begins a short distance to the right.
