The B6169 is a short urban B-road through the Cheshire town of Dukinfield.
The route starts at traffic lights on the A6017 on the edge of Audenshaw and then heads east along Shepley Road, passing the cemetery and going through an industrial estate before crossing the River Tame. Passing another industrial estate, the road goes over the Peak Forest Canal, then bears immediately left at a mini-roundabout.
After going over the Manchester to Glossop railway line the road crosses a roundabout and reaches Dukinfield town centre. It heads east along Astley Street, crossing the A627 at traffic lights, before ending a couple of blocks further east at a T-junction on the B6170.
