The B6185 was a short link road connecting Salford and Manchester.
It started on the A5066/B6184 Blackfriars Road and headed northeastwards along St Simon Street to end on the A56 Great Ducie Street.
The B6185 no longer exists. The River Irwell has been rerouted in this area in recent years, destroying most of the route of the B6185. On the left bank the road is now called Sherborne Street but the route is impossible to follow on the right bank except for right at its western end. The current road called St Simon Street follows a different route.
