The B6192 is an urban B-road to the southwest of Oldham town centre.
The road starts on the A6104 (former B6188) Hollins Road in Hollins Green and heads northwest along the residential Frederick Street, which is liberally scattered with speed bumps. As the B6192 goes on, the houses lining the road become bigger and soon the road skirts Werneth Park. On the far corner the road crosses the A62 at traffic lights, where the B6191 is also accessible.
The road continues along Edward Street (which is still traffic calmed) and bends for the first time on the route. It passes the derelict (but impressive) former Hartford Cotton Mill before going under the Metrolink and ending soon afterwards at a mini-roundabout on the B6190.
