The road starts off on the A666 gyratory, where the B6206 and A6099 also congregate. From here, this basic single-carriageway road heads south-eastwards, quickly ending at a simple give-way junction on the A673. The last block is one-way, although traffic heading the other way could (if it wanted to) use the parallel Slater Lane.
Originally the B6207 continued further. It reached the A676 Folds Road to the east of its current eastern end, before crossing it into Turner Street. It then went under the railway line and along Windley Street and Kestor Street to end on the A673 (former A58) Bury New Road. This section is now largely closed to through traffic and the eastern end was destroyed when the parish church school was built, although the junction with Bury New Road still exists.
