For the original B713 from Kaimrig End to Moffat, now part of the A701, see B713 (Kaimrig End - Moffat).
For the later B713, largely destroyed by Prestwick Airport, see B713 (Prestwick).
The B713 is a link road in East Ayrshire. The route was originally unclassified (indeed there were no Class II roads in this area) but gained its number between 1932 and 1936.
The route starts at a T junction on the A76 and then descends to the northeast before crossing the Bogend Burn to enter Catrine. It runs along Newton Street, where some newer developments are interspersed with older housing before reaching a T-junction on the B705, which crosses the River Ayr a short distance to the left. The two routes then multiplex to the right, climbing along Townhead, with the B705 number being dominant. At the edge of the village, the B713 regains its number by forking left and running along the edge of fields with a thick band of woodland stretching down to the River Ayr on the left. As the river meanders away, the route climbs a little across fields to reach a summit of around 150m before descending again back into the same valley. The River Ayr is then crossed on Sorn New Bridge on the edge of the village of Sorn and the B713 ends at a T-junction on the B743 on the far side.
