The Barrow Bridge is a arch stone bridge which carries the R420 over the River Barrow, west of Portarlington on the Laois-Offaly boundary.
It is named after the river that it crosses and was built c.1770. It was modified on the upstream side in the 1800s, widened in the 1900s to accommodate footpaths on both sides, altered in c.1970 with the removal of parapets and the laying of new concrete at road level which extends over both sides and is surmounted by a metal balustrade[1].
The bridge underwent renovation in 2018[2].
