The Bedfordshire Scenic Route is a one-way loop around central Bedfordshire signed as 'Scenic Route'. As it is the junction with the most-major route, we'll start at Sandy Roundabout, however the route can be picked up anywhere along it.

Route

After heading through Sandy on the B1042, the route arrives at Potton, turning south on the B1040. After heading east through Sutton on an unclassified road the route turns north and heads back to Potton on the C184 before taking unclassified roads through Cockayne Hatley to Wrestlingworth. From the B1042 at Wrestlingworth, the route takes the C185 to Biggleswade, heading through the town on the A6001 and B659. Just before reaching the A507 the route turns onto the C136 which takes the old route through Shefford. After a short period on the A507 west of Shefford, the route takes unclassified roads through Clophill to the A6, turning south and taking the C118 to Silsoe. From Silsoe, the route takes the C112 and an unclassified road to the A5120 at Sunnyside Farm, and a loop around Harlington using the C211, C109, C199 and A5120 to arrive back at Sunnyside Farm. From the A5120 the route heads west to Woburn Sands on the C107, C100, B5704 and ex-A5130. At the county boundary on the edge of Woburn Sands, the route turns right taking the C94 through Apsley Guise, the C87 and C76 through Ridgmont, and the A507 to Millbrook. At Millbrook the route makes a detour to the north taking the C83 to How End and the B530 back south to Ampthill. Taking the C100 and C123, the route meets the A6 again at Haynes West End, before skirting the village of Haynes to the south and arriving at Ickwell - all on unclassified roads. At Ickwell the route returns to Sandy Roundabout via Moggenhanger, taking the C156 to the A603.
