Bishop's Stortford is a town in Hertfordshire, right next to the Essex boundary. It is the nearest town to Stansted Airport. The roads in the area have undergone a huge overhaul when it comes to numbering, with only the A120 and B1004 lasting since 1922. It was a Primary Destination between circa 1985 and 1994, and Hertfordshire proposed returning it to the list in 2011, but the proposal was rejected owing to the town's close proximity to Stansted Airport. Current OS large-scale mapping marks it as a Primary Destination.
