Blake's Corner is T Junction in the centre of Ennistimon. It is named after one of a pair of shopfronts (built c.1830[1])that sit together on the corner, between the corner and Michael Conway Bridge.
In September 2022 Clare County Council were given permission to proceed with compulsory purchase orders to build a relief road to bypass the junction and pedestrianise the Michael Conway Bridge[2]. This will see a new bridge built further upstream and changes in traffic priorities within the town[3].
