Blands Corner is south of Darlington where A66 crosses the A167. It provides the southern access to the town from the A66 and A1(M). Darlington Southern bypass joins on the eastern side, having opened in 1985.

History

The 5 arm junction in 1961. The garage is right of the school.

It was originally known as Angel Corner, named after the former public house there. Its name changed to Bland's Garage Corner after the garage which opened there (it featured in reports as early as 1916}, and was then shortened to Bland's Corner. The garage is still there and is currently Evans Halshaw (in 2022).
