This article is about the modern M90 bridge across the River Earn.
For the historic Bridge of Earn in the village, see Bridge of Earn.
For the historic Bridge of Earn in the village, see Bridge of Earn.
Located immediately to the north of the Muirmont Junction, this bridge carries the M90 across the Bridge of Earn, at Bridge of Earn. Seemingly carrying the same name as its upstream neighbour, which gave its name to the village, the bridge carries a D2M Motorway north from Edinburgh to Perth.
The bridge has a single main span, between paired piers on either bank, with subsidary spans connecting to the abutments on either side. The span is supported by 2 box steel girders, running over the piers. The upper structure also appears to be of steel, with the (hard shoulder) pavements cantilevered out beyond the girders.
