Broomhill Roundabout lies at the southern end of the A96 Kintore Bypass, and connects the bypass to the old route of the A96 through Kintore, now the B987 although frequently erroneously signed as the B977. It is a small roundabout for a dual carriageway, the A96 carriageways only flaring at the last minute and a fairly minimal amount of space between the various approaches and exits. Certainly, the majority of turning traffic is likely to be between the B987 and southern arm of the A96. The fourth arm of the roundabout is a minor road, cul de sac, serving a number of properties otherwise cut off by the construction of the bypass.
