Broughton Roundabout is the junction between the the A5104, B5125 and a road of uncertain number (once A55) in Flintshire.
It was built as the western terminus of the A55 Chester southern bypass, opened in 1976. The last 1.3 miles of the bypass was built as single carriageway because of uncertainty over the route of the next A55 section westwards, the Hawarden bypass. In the event this was built on a southerly route, opening in 1984, diverging from the Chester bypass at a new Broughton Junction and bypassing Broughton roundabout.
The current numbering of the fossil bypass is uncertain. The next roundabout eastwards from Broughton Roundabout (arguably forming part of Broughton Junction) is a later addition.
