Bryn Interchange is junction 25 of the M6. Opened in 1963 as part of the Preston-Warrington contract of the M6, it has always been a considerable spur off the motorway and never a temporary terminus as a glance at the map may suggest.
It features a steel sculpture called The Three Sisters in the centre of its egg-shaped roundabout.
The configuration of the roundabout and its sudden change from motorway rules to being a standard trunk road sometimes leads to accidents, in which fast-moving vehicles don't make the sharp left turn into the flow of the roundabout, and end up crashing up the centre island.
