|Junctions related to the A81|
Burnbrae Roundabout lies on the A81 just to the south of Milngavie Town Centre. It is the start of the short B8030, which loops through the town. Whilst the roundabout is relatively modern, it sits on the site of a historic fork, where the main Glasgow - Callander road has long avoided Milngavie town centre. The roundabout is a fairly ordinary design built in the V of the fork, with 5 arms in total. Only the southern arm of the A81 has two approach lanes, separating traffic from the town centre and bypass. The B8030 continues to the north, with the A81 forking slightly to the north east. The other two exits lead east into the small retail park area and west as access to a few properties in Main Street, so removing the turning traffic from the main road.
