Byme Bridge carries the A356 across the River Parrett just to the west of Chiselborough. The bridge deck appears to be reasonably wide, compared to the road either side, and topped by metal railings as parapets, set in concrete beams. This would suggest that the bridge dates from the 1960s or later. Unfortunately, however, with nowhere safe to stop on a busy road, and dense vegetation along the roadside, further investigation was impossible on a recent visit.
