The C1065 is a short route which meets the A9 at both ends. It starts on a former section of the A9 at Latheronwheel, following a partially abandoned loop up to a bypassed bridge, at which point it forks left to follow the old country road north. This now runs roughly parallel to the A9, which also turns north at Latheron a little to the east. The two slowly converge in open moorland.
