The C1068 Starts on the A9 at Daviot, south of Inverness, and initially follows the old route of the main village round the village. It appears to also include the road through the village, which was the previous line of the A9. After passing the quarry entrance, the route drops to single track and runs south west, running parallel to the River Nairn, and B851 beyond. The B861 is crossed about half way down, near Inverarnie, and then after turning away from the river, the road comes to an end on the C1076 near Dunlichity.
