The C107 starts on the B15 on the south eastern edge of Ballycastle and heads south west. Almost immediately there is a TOTSO and the road heads south and follows the western side of Glenshesk. The road ascends onto the eastern shoulder of the 567m high Knocklayd which overlooks Ballycastle. The road follows the lower slopes of the hill clockwise around from Glenshesk eventually coming to a junction with the B15 on the south side of the hill.
