The C1080 provides a link between the B852 and B862 on the east side of Loch Ness. It starts on the south side of the bridge at Inverfarigaig, and runs up along the forest edge, past a car park, following the Allt Mor to a junction with the C1084. The road here does a U-turn over a bridge, and doubles back, before turning east once more. Still following the forest edge, at length it reaches the B862 at Errogie. The junction has recently been reprofiled, with a sharp double bend on the B862 removed to allow wind farm traffic to negotiate the road more safely.
