The C1139 is the direct route from Nethy Bridge to the A95, crossing the River Spey. It starts at a near hairpin junction on the A95, dropping down the hill to Broomhill Station, and then turning to cross over the railway. After a short run alongside the tracks, the road turns again to cross Broomhill Bridge over the Spey, with another sharp bend on the south bank. It opens up as a straighter road after that, climbing slightly away from the river into the village, finishing at a staggered crossroads with the C1124 next to the Nethy Bridge.
