This article is about the Class III road numbered C1188 maintained by Highland Council.
For other roads numbered C1188, see C1188
The C1188 serves the scattered houses and farms that line the west side of the glen above Strontian. It starts on the A861 at the west end of Strontian Bridge, and heads north, following the river through the part of the village known as Anaheilt. Another, older bridge crosses the river back to the school, while the road continues to a junction. Here, the C1188 forks left, climbing through Scotstown and Ariundle to Bellsgrove Lodge. A short distance further on, at an unspecified point, the C1188 gives way to a U road, which continues over the hill and down to the shore of scenic Loch Shiel at Polloch.
