The C1219 forms a link between the B9163 and A832 along the shore in Cromarty. After a long run along the coast, the B9163 turns inland as it enters Cromarty, to meet the A832, and it is the C1219 that completes the coastal, as far as where the A832 meets the shore. This means that the C1219 has a TOTSO at both ends, although the northern end is not lined, the tarmac is suggestive of priority. In fact, the last part of the A832 down to the harbour is a single track dead end, meaning that most traffic will be doubling back between the A832 and C1219.
