The C13 starts on the B9057 near the Dounby Click Mill and heads north west, following the Burn of Hillside between low hills to Loch Hundland. Here is turns west then south west to avoid the loch, passes Durkadale from which the road gets its name and meets the C7, Hundland Road a short distance from Twatt.
