This article is about the Class III road numbered C147 maintained by North Ayrshire Council. For other roads numbered C147, see C147.
The C147 forms over half of what was the A841 ring road around the Isle of Arran. Due to very low traffic volumes, it was decided to declassify much of the route, and so the A841 now just serves the main settlements on the north and east coast, running from Lochranza to Largy Mor to the south of Whiting Bay. The rest of the route is now the C147, following the west and south sides of the island, and passing through Machrie, Blackwaterfoot and Lagg amongst other places.
