The C155 forms two routes radiating out of South Mimms - Blanche Lane to the south and Blackhorse Lane to the north. Neither route ends at anywhere important: the Blanche Lane section has a considerable portion of the official route as a track behind a gate that used to link with the A1, while the Blackhorse Lane section ends at a farm on the Middlesex/Hertfordshire border rather than continuing to return to the B556. The Blanche Lane section does, however, serve the main part of the village as well as the hamlet of Ridge, and The National Institute for Biological Standards and Control.
