This article is about the Class III road numbered C161 maintained by DfI Roads. For other roads numbered C161, see C161.
The C161 is a lengthy route in north County Armagh. It starts on the A4 near the north edge of Portadown, heading north. Soon the road meets the B28 and continues north from another junction. The road leaves the town and passes through open countryside for a few kilometres before reaching a T junction just south of the bridge over the M1. At this junction the route splits and follows both the road ahead across the bridge and the road heading west. The road heading west soon ends on the C162 while the main road crosses the bridge and turns west, passing the north end of the C162. Heading west, the road follows the north side of the M1 fairly closely, crossing the route of the C165 along the way. The road eventually meets the B196 just north of J12 on the M1. The road continues west from another junction just to the north of here and ends on the B131 at J13 of the M1.
