This article is about the Class III road numbered C17 maintained by West Lothian Council.
For other roads numbered C17, see C17.
For other roads numbered C17, see C17.
The C17 starts on the A803 towards the west end of Linlithgows High Street, and follows Preston Road south, passing under the railway and then over the canal as it works its way through the town. After passing Preston House on the edge of the town, the road starts climbing, quite steeply round a couple of bends, and passes below the ancient fort at Cockleroy near Beecraigs Country Park. Continuing southwards, the route also passes below Cairnpapple Hill before dropping down to reach the B792 on the edge of Bathgate.
