The C189, maintained by Staffordshire Council, is a route that is split into two distinct halves, separated by the M6 Toll.
The northern section runs from the A38 near Fradley South and runs south through Whittington and Botany Bay to reach Watling Street at Weeford. The second section starts on the A38 to the south pf Weeford Interchange and heads southwest towards Watford Gap (near Blake Street, not the famous one).
