The road starts at a crossroads off the B2139, here the road heads north through the village of Amberley, it then takes a sharp right turn to go along the north side of the village, at Rackham it turns north again and then it enters Parham Wood. In Parham Wood it turn right and gives way to traffic already on the road, it then terminates on the A283 at a T Junction. The road is subjected to a 6"6' width restriction for most of its length.
