This article is about the Class III road numbered C226 maintained by DfI Roads.
For other roads numbered C226, see C226.
For other roads numbered C226, see C226.
The C226 is a bit of a fragmented route roughly forming half a loop. It starts on the B134 to the west of the 626m Slieve Gullion and heads west to meet a spur of the C221 in Mullaghbawn. The road continues from the mainstream C221 to the west and loops round to the south until it reaches the C224 south east of Silverbridge. The next section of the road leaves the C224 and crosses Cully Water to meet the A29. Slightly along the A29 from this junction, the last part of the road links to the C225 at Ballsmill.
