The C237 begins at a set of traffic lights on the A4102 in the centre of Merthyr Tydfil and heads northwards initially along Brecon Road before TOTSOing onto The Walk. The road enters into a brief multiplex with the C268 Gurnos Road before continuing north east along Galon Uchaf Road. Before long the road comes to a roundabout and passes over the A465 towards Pant. At the cemetery the road comes to an end on a TOTSO of the C235.
